2016 Resolutions Book Tag!

I’ve always failed at resolutions lol, well except ones that came to books! So this resolution post will hopefully be easy to succeed at!

The oh so wonderful Kat over at Life and Other Disasters has tagged me for the 2016 Resolutions Book Tag! It’s really easy, there are no specific rules, just four categories. You can list as many resolutions as you like, there is no right way to do this! I chose my basic resolutions and tried to make it simple and not overload :]

Bookish Resolutions

In 2016, I will…

1. Read 175 books. (I want to set my goal higher than what I finished with this year)

2. Buy more physical books (I bought a lot of e-books this year… I’m ashamed)

Book Blogging Resolutions

In 2016, I will…

1. Be around more (I miss you guys and feel like I have been neglectful)

2. Be more active on other blogs (I don’t comment as much as I used to…)

3. Do less nonsensical things (I like tags and awards, I actually love them, but I think they have taken over a portion to my blog and away from the actual books)

Career/ Academic Resolutions

In 2016, I will…

1. I want to either get a new job or work at a new location at my job. (I’m tired of being tired…)

2. I want to look at going back to school (I would love to get my Masters in Creative Writing)

Personal Resolutions

In 2016, I will…

1. There is only one personal resolution that I want to make this year and that is for my husband and I to have a healthy pregnancy and healthy baby. Once the new year stars we are going to try to start a family together, so by this time next year I will either be pregnant or we will have a new addition to the family ❤

Tag You’re It!

1. Carrie’s Book Reviews

2. Tumbling into Wonderland

3. Luvley Fiction

4. Every Book You Need to Read and More

5. Fatimanaqvis

6. Rust and Stardust

One good thing about having a less popular blog is that you aren’t overwhelmed by blogging awards… you don’t necessarily have to do less, just space them out more. At least you know you’re doing something right when you get nominated a lot!

I hope you achieve these things… especially the baby 😉

    Have a happy new year!

  2. That’s what you would think but right now I have six sitting in a que waiting to be done and I have no desire to do them :[ It just takes too much extra time. Maybe now and again I will, but there’s been so many.

If you don’t enjoy doing tags, you could include a section on your blog that says you won’t be doing them anymore. I guess it doesn’t help you have a page listing awards?

  4. Lol I out that there so people know which ones I had already been nominated for but they just kept coming so I just kept doing. But I found myself doing them more than reviews. I guess I can still do them and post like one a month or something like that.

  5. Hi Jordan! Thanks so much for nominating us! 🙂 We won’t be able to get this done before the new year, but hopefully we can get it posted soon afterwards! Good luck with all of your resolutions. Just a little something I noticed, though… If you’re too tired, a baby won’t be any help, hehe! But I wish you all the happiness in the world while you start a family. You’re an amazing person and I know you’ll be a wonderful mother. 🙂

  7. 🙂 Absolutely. Hey, by the way, I keep meaning to tell you- under your name, your URL shows up as wordsineedwords.wordpress.com but that doesn’t take me anywhere; it looks like your actual URL is still iwillneverownenoughbooks.wordpress.com
